Doujin Game: Blood Over

If you are a loli and maid fetish and moreover you like them carrying guns while defeating demons, then you will love Blood Over. In this game, you get to control a dual-gun wielding princess, Shou, and she is accompanied by her maid, Akari, who wields a gatling gun.
This game is another street brawl action adventure genre where you get to defeat a lot of enemies that are in your way. Another unique feature that is offered in this game is that you have to exploit the overkill system to fill up your blood gauge which will allow you to do a gatling gun barrage from your maid. If you are not familiar with the overkill system is that this system allows you to do additional combos on the enemies that are already dead. So basically, the enemies are easy to kill but you are allow to inflict more damaging combo to fill up your blood gauge. You’ll get what I mean if you watch the video.

Doujin Game: Croixleur

Croixleur is a survival action adventure game where you control a red twin-tailed hair girl named Lucrezia Visconti and defeat all enemies that appear on the stage. The adventure genre is a little bit misleading because it is actually just bashing enemies and teleports to an upper level where it is just the same as before but with more and difficult enemies.
It is a repetitive game, since you just collecting money on the enemies you defeated and level your way up. You can buy weapons with the money you collected and gain new skill when leveling up. It’s a fun game if you have a little time to spare and aiming for a quick play without paying so much attention to the story.
 
The version that is available here to download is 1.10 and unfortunately there is no English patch. However, I’m sure you can manage your way to the controls since the download file include you with a config to modify the controls. Have fun!

Doujin Game: DynaMarisa (ダイナマリサ)

If you love action adventure game with girl carrying big guns, maybe this will be your choice of game. DynaMarisa let’s you control a chibi Marisa Kirisame and you can select a weapon of your choice to defeat the enemies with. There are 5 difficulties in playing this game and I think the hardest one is Nightmare (or is it lunatic?). I think this game is a parody of Earth Defense Force 2017 since Marisa uses bazooka for killing her enemies.
Unfortunately, I can’t find an English patch for this game so if anybody has the link to the English patch, please let me know. However, this game probably doesn’t need to much understanding on Japanese because your main objective is to defeat the enemy that is in your way.Be careful on playing this game since this game is a RAM eater. It makes your computer hot so I suggest playing it using a good PC (I don’t know about laptop since I don’t have them).

Doujin Game: Elepaper

Remember the anime Read or Die? Well, this is a side action adventure game featuring the characters from ROD. For you who aren’t familiar with ROD, it is a story about three sisters who can manipulate papers. I’m not going to bore you about the story plot for now but so far the anime has the TV version which features the three sisters and the OAV version featuring Yomiko Readman (another paper manipulator).
And in this game, you get to control those characters: the three sisters and Yomiko Readman. This game is a type of street brawl action adventure game which is similar to that Bare Knuckle (Good classic game). I personally love to use Yomiko Readman just because I love her in her action in the OAV version.
One more wondering notice is that in this game, there is an enemy which resembles Mechazawa or is actually Mechazawa from Cromartie Highschool. A hilarious cameo I should say.

Doujin Game: Erst Kerf

Another unique shooting game which combined with a vast dungeon exploring opportunities is Erst Kerf. You will have to be able to use every object in the game to your advantage for hiding from enemies’ attack and believe me, when enemies are attacking, it will be like raining bullets.
You will also get an option to change shooting mode along your dungeon exploration. Overall, it’s an exciting game to play and you probably need to play with a PC mouse since changing angle and shooting are done with the mouse.Unfortunately, no English patch is available or can be found, but the menu is still in English. Probably you can’t enjoy the story if you don’t understand Japanese.
I have a trouble categorizing the game for the Game section, but maybe it’s appropriate to put this to the action adventure genre because of the emphasis on the dungeon exploration part. Well, I guess that’s it for today’s doujin game. Have fun on playing those game and I hope you enjoy the selection I made today.

Doujin Game: Grief Syndrome

For all the Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica fans out there, here is a good game for you to play. Grief Syndrome is a side-scrolling beat’em up type of game. You can choose either Kaname Madoka, Tomoe Mami, Kyouko Sakura, Akemi Homura, or Miki Sayaka throughout the entire play.
Each character has their own ability and attack combos to finish off the enemies and you will work your way up your level so you are stronger to survive the enemy attacks. I personally loved Akemi Homura since you can go nuts with pistols, machine gun, rocket launcer, and grenade (Sou-chan also favourite her since he is a girl with guns nerd :p) but sometime see moves backward when using the machine gune which makes things complicated if you have a stage that has many pitfalls (especially the 3rd stage).
Another unique feature of this game is that you have a Soul Limit which is reduced overtime.
 

Doujin Game: Koumajou Densetsu ~Scarlet Symphony~

For the first post in this particular feature, let’s start with Koumajou Densetsu or you may also recognize this game as Touhouvania. You can tell by the title of the game that this Touhou game implements Akumajou Dorakyura or Castlevania gameplay.
If you are a fan of this game or if you are a fan of action adventure 2D game, maybe you want to play this game. So far, this game has 2 installments which the other one I will post briefly. You can check out the gameplay on the Youtube video I attached on this post.

Doujin Game: Koumajou Densetsu II ~Stranger’s Requeim~

This is the second installment of Koumajou Densetsu and a lot of improvement can be felt while playing this game. You are now playing as Sakuya Izayoi and I guess I will just give you that since I’m not sure it is appropriate for me to spoil your fun in uncovering the story for this game.
What I can say that this game now includes seiyuu or voice actors to the characters. Sakuya Izayoi also has a lot of control movement than Hakurei Reimu from the previous series. If you haven’t play the first series, you might want to play Koumajou Densetsu ~Scarlet Symphony~.
Currently, there is an English patch for this game. The other patches available are to open a new stage which you can download here. Once again, if you consider this game to be worth playing, please consider to buy it so they can make a sequel out of it.

Doujin Game: Combat DX9 – Kinryu vs Xentex

This is a 3D combat game that can host up to 4 players. Just like Magical Battle Arena, Combat DX9 employs the same game type but with the difference of loli mecha characters and there is a ground instead of battling up in the air which may cause a little bit of confusion sometimes.
Combat DX9 characters are based on Ichigeki Sachuu!! Hoihoi-san from the manga and later on made it to an anime. The characters are practically mini mecha maids that should be doing household chores. But once Kinryu mecha meets with Xentex mecha, the story develops to something more explosive.
You can select your character by either siding with Kinryu or Xentex and you can equip them with weapons that will affect how you will face your enemy.

A note on the gameplay is that you might want to run 殲滅指令!!COMBAT_DX9_212.exe for the latest patch of the game and unfortunately again, this game is not available for its English patch. The main menu is the only thing that is English but I hope you can get by since this only a fighting game with no story whatsoever. Also, you can play this game online by joining to other people’s IP address or if you are not up to it, you can just play with the AI. Have fun, you loli pervys!

Doujin Game: Acceleration of SUGURI 2

Acceleration of SUGURI 2 is an aerial stage 2D fighting game which employs a very similar fighting system as Psychic Force (It has an invisible spherical stage boundary to limit your movement). You can choose a pack of fighters which have different ability to help you to defeat your opponent.
Each of the fighter has their combat advantages and you can shoose whether you like to do close quarter combat or long range combat. This game also available in PS3 but for this version, it is a PC game (of course). If you are wondering why I started from the second episode of Acceleration of SUGURI is because the first version is not that good in terms of graphic performance and control response. So,
I believe Acceleration of SUGURI 2 will not affect your play if you don’t know the first one. Unfortunately, there is no English version for this game, but the start menu is in English so I’m sure you can get pass that. Another notice is that this game is packed with .bin file so be sure to visit the Game section if you don’t know how to manage with that file extensions.

Doujin Game: Ougon Musou Kyoku

Those of you probably has already known Umineko no Naku no Koro ni by the sound novel or the anime. This particular game is a fighting game featuring the characters of Umineko no Naku no Koro ni although it’s not the complete roster.
This game is similar to Melty Blood or any other 2D fighting game with the exception that you can pick two characters (it’s kind of like a tag fighting game) but the health bar is shared between your characters. The health bar also has 3 levels so you can be sure to do lots of combo to finish off your opponent faster.
There is a story line on the arcade version but too bad there is no English patch whatsoever for this game. The graphic is quite good for a 2D fighting game. 
Its quality is close to that of Melty Blood and I love the intro before the fighting starts.
I think the rest will be explainable if you watch the video.

Doujin Game: Katsugeki Kidan – Dai Ni Maku

Another Touhou game and this time it’s an action platform genre. You will get to control Inubashiri Momiji and slay demons from the underworld. What makes this game interesting is that you will have a leveling up system and get a chance to buy weapons and add skills and stuff to make you stronger.
Too bad that I can’t find the English patch for this game so I guess you have to do a lot of guessing when it comes to story or items to buy. Sou-chan also said that you use a lot of “Shift” button in the game so be sure to turn off your sticky keys.
All the thing that has to be done next is just bash your way through the enemy. Happy playing, guys!


Doujin Game: Super Mario Bros. Crimson Hour

Anybody up for a bloody and gory themed game which also use a super nostalgic game? How about playing Super Mario Bros. Crimson Hour?
This game combines the ever-popular game, Super Mario Bros. but with an additional of Mario being able to shoot and toss grenades to enemies.
Not only that, blood will squirt to screen everytime you kill an enemy. Also another thing to note, Remember the whiny princess who always got kidnapped by King Bowser? Apparently King Bowser shot her death and now Mario is seeking for revenge.
